Frequently asked questions
What happens during treatment?
First your medical history is taken and then your pulses and tongue are looked at. An individual treatment plan will be based on these and your state of health and lifestyle. An acupuncturist will decide which combination of points is right for your whole body as well as your symptoms.
What does it feel like?
Fine needles are inserted into acupuncture points. The needles are so fine that most people don’t feel them as they go in. It is normal to feel a mild tingle or dull ache as the needles are adjusted. Many people feel deeply relaxed during the treatment.
How often do you have treatment?
Normally, people will have a course of treatment. Weekly sessions are quite usual to begin with, for perhaps five or six treatments, reducing in frequency as your body responds.
How much does it cost?
The first treatment costs £40 and subsequent treatments cost £35. The treatment takes an hour.
